Windows aren't restoring

1Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Accessibility.

2Make sure Putback is in the list and switched on.

3Check the master toggle at the top of Putback's menu bar panel.

A window landed on the wrong display

Putback restores the last layout it saved for that display setup. If an app keeps ending up somewhere you don't want, open Layouts and add a per app rule, for example "Always on Display 2" or "Ignore". Pinning a layout also stops drift during the day.

Licenses & purchases

Your license key is the whole account: paste it in Settings then License to activate a Mac, and share it within your household or team up to your tier's limit. Lost the key, or need to free a spot on a Mac you no longer have? The license portal handles both, no account needed. Upgrading tiers only charges the difference.

Deploying to a team

No per seat accounts: one key activates up to 20 Macs. For MDM rollouts, push the app and set the key once, Putback picks it up on first launch:

defaults write app.putback LicenseKey "PB-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX"

Accessibility permission can be pre-granted with a PPPC profile. Need more than 20 Macs? Email us for volume licensing.
